Upgrade Guide
What a deployment gains by moving to a newer release, feature by feature, with each entry linking to its page in the Feature Catalog.
These lists are generated from the catalog itself, so a feature appears under the release it actually arrived in rather than the release that last touched its code.
Pages
| Page | What it covers |
|---|---|
| Everything new since 7.10.6 | Every feature added across the whole 8.x line - the list for a deployment still on 7.10.6 |
| From 7.10.6 to 8.35 | What moving from 7.10.6 to the 8.35 LTS brought |
| From 8.35 to 8.47 | LTS to LTS, between the two long-term support releases |
| From 8.47 to 8.55 | From the current LTS to the latest release |
| Breaking changes and requirements | The other half of an upgrade: what a release asks of a deployment before or after the move |
What these lists do not say
A feature shown as since 7.10.6 or earlier is absent from all of them, because nothing is gained by upgrading to get it. That bucket is large: of 253 catalog features, 85 arrived during the 8.x line and the rest were already there.
Where a long-standing feature was reworked rather than introduced, the rework is noted on the feature's own catalog page instead of appearing here as if it were new.
